Bike Ride Seeks Participants and Volunteers
P
lanning has begun for Cincinnati’s first ever Forget-Me-Not
Bike Ride to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s support
and research. The Forget-Me-Not Ride, to be held in the
Spring of 2009, will offer rides of varying lengths through gently
rolling countryside for all levels of riders. In addition to participating
in the ride, cyclists will have the opportunity to enlist friends and
family to become involved through our voluntary pledge program.
The planning committee is currently looking for interested volunteers
to assist with event start-up. Interested individuals may contact

Valentine’s Dance Offers Heart to Chapter
F
or Cris Suesz, the loss of her father, Charles McQueen, to Alzheimer’s disease three
years ago prompted the idea for a Valentine’s Day dance benefit in Boone County.
This year’s benefit at Briarwood Banquet Hall in Hebron on Feb. 15 attracted more
than 100 guests who enjoyed dinner, music, door prizes and a silent auction.
The event raised more than $3,700 for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater
Cincinnati.
“We wanted to do something to remember him and to show him our love. What better
way than to do something around Valentine’s Day,” said Mrs. Suesz, who along with her
husband, Joe, and family members, have organized the dinner and party for the past three
years.
According to Mrs. Suesz, plans for a Valentine’s Dance in 2009 are already under way.
