ANimATioN ANd Film<br />
mANiPulATioN<br />
Scratch Animation, or Direct Animation, is the<br />
process of drawing and scratching designs<br />
directly onto film. Images are hand painted<br />
on clear and black film leader using paints,<br />
markers and ink. Techniques include stenciling,<br />
etching and splicing found footage directly<br />
into film.<br />

Be introduced to the joys and versatility of a<br />
working sketchbook. Work on your solitary<br />
book and enjoy the energy of others for<br />
motivation and feedback. Bring an easy to<br />
handle hard bound sketchbook, pen/pencil,<br />
scissors and glue stick/tape. Possible walks<br />
require comfortable shoes and a jacket.<br />
