As a painter, she translates landscapes into stunning large-scale,abstract compositions examining this connection. “The importance ofthe landscape, and the specific landscape I inhabit... [have] becomethe central inspiration in my painting, extending into a broader concernfor changing visions and understandings of landscape in the age ofintensifying technological innovations and dwindling wilderness andnatural spaces.” We’re excited to have Julie returning as an artist-inresidence.Photographing the Abstract in NatureSatuday, July 28, 2012, 2pm – 4pmDiscover the bounty of abstract compositions found in nature.
