Mark CaulOffice: (512) 268-7862BOBCAT BITS• Texas State returns eight starters and 12 letterwinners from last year’s team that went 39-17 overall,won the Southland Conference Tournament and advanced to the College Station Regional.• The Bobcats finished 2012 with the fourth-best fielding percentage in the nation (.978) andreturn eight of their starting fielders from a year ago.• The Bobcats return five all-conference players in Anne Marie Taylor, Anna Hernandez, HaleyLemons, Brooke Baker and Selena Hernandez.• Taylor will be the Bobcats’ go-to pitcher in 2013. She was 17-8 with a 1.71 ERA a year ago. Sheranked 17th nationally in shutouts (10) and 46th in ERA (1.71).• Texas State’s top three batters – Baker (.306), Anna Hernandez (.304) and Selena Hernandez(.301) – all return.
