Thomsen also proved to be a toughout for the defense as she struck out only seven times in 158 at bats.• Returning to the circle are senior veterans Mandy Harmon and Shelbi Tyteca. The two combinedfor 246.2 innings of work and 170 strikeouts last season. Harmon has 265 career strikeouts, goodfor eighth in the Aggie career record book, while Tyteca is 10th with 205.• Tyteca recorded five saves last season, breaking her own school record of four in a season. SeniorChristine Thomsen earned first team All-WAC in 2012, while Allison Lenzora and KassandraUchida were both selected second team All-WAC in 2011.• Kalaba helped guide Thomsen to national recognition as she was named an Easton secondteam All-American.
