- 14 - <strong>2009</strong>-05-04the Adopt a Spot Program was almost completely destroyed without anyconsultation with staff.SJMC<strong>2009</strong>-05-04/268RIt was then moved by <strong>Council</strong>lor Duff; seconded by <strong>Council</strong>lor Hickman:That staff be directed to reinstate that spot granted to Dr. Pryse-Phillipsin the Rawlins Cross area, under the Adopt a Spot Program, as aperennial garden, in consultation with him.The motion being put was unanimously carried.<strong>Council</strong>lor Duff expressed concern over the excessive garbage on our streets andhighways noting that some <strong>of</strong> the cause is attributable to haulers neglecting to tarpthe garbage trucks. She suggested that maybe deterrents could be put in place atRobin Hood Bay that would ensure better compliance <strong>of</strong> properly covering theloads.
