However, rural customers need to callSanitation at 329-1023 and schedule an appointment prior to April 07. Items are not to be placedat the curb earlier than one week before scheduled collection day. Items that are placed out morethan one week before schedule pick up date may result in a <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Norman</strong> Code violation and afine. Items must be out by 7:30 a.m. on designated Saturday.<strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Clean</strong>up is for larger household items that will not fit into the polycart for normal pickup.This is not for brush or yard waste. Yard waste that meets size requirements (2 inch diameterand 4 foot length) can be taken to the Compost Facility. Larger limbs and trunks may be taken tothe Transfer Station. <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Clean</strong> up crews will not take remodeling or demolition debris suchas broken concrete, bricks, lumber, sheetrock, shingles or junk cars; or any hazardous waste suchas tires, batteries, paints, refrigerators or any items with Freon, etc…A new item for this year, and following Federal Regulations, any items containing Freon (orrefrigerant) must have the Freon properly captured by a certified technician (this would berefrigerators, freezers, air-conditioners, etc.) Only items with the proper tag identifying that theFreon has been removed, will be accepted.Polycarts, wagons, wheelbarrows, etc., are not to be used as containers for clean up items.3/27/2012

Chautauqua will be open and free on these Saturdays for any <strong>Norman</strong>sanitation customer, so you may haul your own if you wish. Remember to take a current utility billwhen you go, or have a driver’s license with a <strong>Norman</strong> address.For those residents in the rural area, there will also be containers set up to dispose <strong>of</strong> items on Saturday,April 14 th .1.) American Legion – north <strong>of</strong> Hwy 9, on 156 th Ave. NE2.) Denver Corner – 10808 E. AlamedaThese two locations are for <strong>Norman</strong> residents with <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Norman</strong> trash service.
