Methodist is proud to be affiliated withthe University of Tennessee Health Science Center andserves as its primary teaching site.A tertiary care and referral center, Methodist UniversityHospital has one of the largest neurosciencesprograms in the country, and one of the most activecardiac programs. Methodist University Hospital isalso home to a large transplant institute that partnerswith the University of Tennessee Health ScienceCenter. The 200-bed Methodist South Hospital alsooffers state-of-the-art cardiac services, includingcardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery.
