Beyondthat, students can help themselvesby also being proactive, particularlyin regards to the scheduling ofclasses. As always, students shoulddevelop an academic game plan sothey know what they wish to accomplishand the steps that are neededto reach that goal.”“We are encouraging students tothink about the upcoming academicyear and the things that impacttheir class schedules. For example, our students like to attend classestwo days a week, attend part-time,or have child care or transportationissues. These specific concernsmay impact the academic plan thatthe student and advisor devise. Weask that they communicate futureneeds to their advisor so we can devisebest possible solution as theytransition,” Null added.OU-C program faculty membershave been working for some time torestructure curricula and courses. They will be working with studentsto develop specific advising plans. These advising plans will prescribethe courses students need to take tofinish their degree before or aftertransition to semesters. Those studentsthat are undecided or lookingto enter selective majors will workwith Hilltopper Advising Centerstaff to devise a plan for transition. Most students will see communicationfrom their program advisoror academic advisor in the comingmonths to schedule an appointmentto work out the advising plans. Additionallythe University, OU-C andmany Colleges/Departments haveinformation on the transition ontheir web pages. http://www.ohio.edu/q2s/&http://www.chillicothe.ohiou.edu/Q2S/index.htmThe campus has developed a“Challenges and Transition” Webpage, which can be accessed fromthe OU-C web site. The web pagewill offer links and information tohelp with the transition. Some practical tips that Null suggestsare:• Make sure you meet with youracademic advisor on a regular basis,at least each quarter. Communicateto your advisor what youare looking to accomplish in termsof both your collegiate and careergoals.• Students may be wise to carrya slightly higher course load thisyear than they are accustomedto taking. For example, it may beprudent for students to take moreclasses in their academic major.• It may be best to begin takingclasses that are in a sequence assoon as possible.• If students need to repeat aclass to improve their GPA, it iswise to take the class this yearwhile it only lasts a quarter.• Students should study the website for their particular academicmajors for useful information.OH-0004661159-01Los MariachisAuthentic MexicanFood & CantinaBuy 2 dinners (#1-30)and 2 MargaritasFor $20with couponone coupon per customerBuy Fajitas for two and getFREE FriedIce Creamwith couponone coupon per customerHappy Hour4-7pm649 Central Center740.775.1403Buy 1 lunch entree get 2nd50% OFF(of equal or lesser value)Excludes Daily Specialswith couponone coupon per customerBuy 2 combos (#1-30)and 2 soft drinks, get$4 OFFwith couponone coupon per customerKids 12 & Under EatFREE on SundaysThree Locations to Serve You200 N Plaza Blvd. 1080 N Bridge St Suite #45740.775.3558740.775.4219Hrs: Sun-Thurs 11am-10pm Fri-Sat. 11am-11pmLOOKING FOR AN EXERCISE ROUTINE THAT WILL BE BOTHNOTHING ROUTINE ROUTINE ABOUT ABOUT ITChallengingRewarding?AN EXERCISE ROUTINE THAT WILL GIVE YOUResults AND Functional ?FitnessCrossFit THE Forging Elite Fitness METHOD IS BASED UPONBUILDING CORE FITNESS THROUGH A VARIETYOFEXERCISES ES TO CHALLENGE YOURTRAINING SYSTEMSI EARNED MY BACHELORS OF SCIENCEIN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY IN ADDITIONTO ACQUIRING A CERTIFICATION AS ACROSSFIT INSTRUCTORASK FORFinisher2006 Boston MarathonFinisher40 Mile Endurance RaceOH-0004661698-01ANDEXERCISESEnMOMENTUMFOREntireGET OUT WHAT YOUYOU PUT INBodyLOCATED ATBODYZONE TOTAL FITNESSCLINTWESTERN AVE.,CHILLICOTHE OHMOMENTUM.FOR.LIVING@GMAIL.COM740-701-0497
