Admission to all gradelevels is determined by an evaluation of relevant informationconcerning the applicant’s scholastic background.AIn addition to the academic potential of theprospective student, his or her characterand interests are assessed. The finaladmission decision is based on scholasticrecords, a standardized test, confidentialreferences and a personal interview.The minimum requirement for a studentadmitted to the Grade 12 programme isthe Quebec Secondary School AcademicDiploma or its equivalent.Upon receipt of the completed application,the College may contact referencesdirectly. Applicants are interviewed by theDirector of Admissions, sit the entranceexam and along with their parents aregiven a tour of the campus. Applicantswho cannot visit the school for an intervieware required to write to the Director ofAdmissions. This letter should outlineinterests and abilities while stating objectivesfor a boarding school experience.Application Procedure1- Complete the application and parentevaluation forms.2- Provide three references (two academic,one personal).3- Provide current and past transcripts,other relevant scholastic documents,and two wallet-size photos.4- Send to: Director of Admissions,Stanstead College, 450 Dufferin,Stanstead, Quebec, Canada, J0B 3E0.Scholarships and Financial AidA number of entrance scholarships aremade available each year, ranging invalue from $2,000 to full fees. Thesescholarships are awarded on the basisof written examinations, demonstratedacademic proficiency and other abilities.A number of scholar/athlete awards arealso offered each year to well-roundedapplicants.
