S<strong>Stanstead</strong>’s facilities offer old-world tradition and elegancewith state-of-the-art technology and resources. The <strong>College</strong>comprises a large complex of buildings on the main campusand is surrounded by 600 acres of land.<strong>Stanstead</strong> <strong>College</strong>trong FoundationsAcademicColby House is the administrative andacademic centre of the <strong>College</strong>. In additionto classrooms, Colby houses the maincomputer centre, sophisticated sciencelabs and a modern library, which has anextensive collection of books andperiodicals with an on-line catalogue.LeBaron Hall is home to the LanguagesDepartment. The Art Department islocated in the Holmes Model School withdedicated drawing, pa<strong>int</strong>ing, sculptureand pottery rooms, including a kiln. Themusic programme is primarily centredaround Pierce Hall and adjacent practicefacilities.<strong>College</strong> facilities feature high-techequipment, including a building-tobuildingbroadband fibre-optic networkwith over 600 access po<strong>int</strong>s. <strong>Stanstead</strong> <strong>College</strong>n Education for All Time<strong>Stanstead</strong> <strong>College</strong> is an <strong>int</strong>ernational community, welcomingstudents from every corner of the globe. Admission to all gradelevels is determined by an evaluation of relevant informationconcerning the applicant’s scholastic background.AIn addition to the academic potential of theprospective student, his or her characterand <strong>int</strong>erests are assessed. The finaladmission decision is based on scholasticrecords, a standardized test, confidentialreferences and a personal <strong>int</strong>erview.The minimum requirement for a studentadmitted to the Grade 12 programme isthe Quebec Secondary School AcademicDiploma or its equivalent.Upon receipt of the completed application,the <strong>College</strong> may contact referencesdirectly. Applicants are <strong>int</strong>erviewed by theDirector of Admissions, sit the entranceexam and along with their parents aregiven a tour of the campus. Applicantswho cannot visit the school for an <strong>int</strong>ervieware required to write to the Director ofAdmissions.
