<strong>The</strong> AGM also featured two sessions honouring meritorious educators. This year, two prominent Canadianeducators were each presented with <strong>the</strong> CTF Special Recognition Award. <strong>The</strong> recipients were ArthurJorgensen <strong>from</strong> Alberta and Clarence LeBlanc <strong>from</strong> New Brunswick. <strong>The</strong> second session featured <strong>the</strong>winners of <strong>the</strong> $10,000 Roy C. Hill National Award for Outstanding Merit. <strong>The</strong> team of Louise Sarrasin andMarie-France Bélair showed delegates a video which outlines <strong>the</strong> highlights of <strong>the</strong>ir winning project titled"Child Star".During <strong>the</strong> last session of <strong>the</strong> AGM, Jan Eastman <strong>from</strong> British Columbia was elected President-designate,while Linda York <strong>from</strong> Manitoba and John MacDonald <strong>from</strong> <strong>No</strong>va Scotia were elected to serve one-yearterms as CTF Vice-Presidents. Maureen Morris <strong>from</strong> Quebec begins <strong>the</strong> second of a two-year mandate asCTF President.During <strong>the</strong>ir stay in Calgary, delegates and <strong>the</strong>ir families were superbly hosted by <strong>the</strong> Alberta Teachers'Association. <strong>The</strong> CTF Annual General Meeting next year will be hosted by <strong>the</strong> Provincial Association ofProtestant Teachers of Quebec and will be held in Montreal where planning is already well underway.
