Foreword<br />
This calibration system manual has been written for all organizations within the Electronic<br />
Measurements Group (EMG) of <strong>Agilent</strong> <strong>Technologies</strong>.<br />
Responsibility for the document contents belong to the EMG Business Management <strong>System</strong><br />
Manager and the EMG <strong>Calibration</strong> Program Manager.<br />
1.0 Purpose<br />
This document describes procedures employed by <strong>Agilent</strong> <strong>Technologies</strong>‟ <strong>Calibration</strong> Facilities<br />
for the calibration of instruments. The paragraph numbering used in this document is consistent<br />
with that used in ISO/IEC 17025:2005(E).<br />
Section 4 of this document describes the calibration facilities‟ Business Management <strong>System</strong>.<br />
This document is designed for use in conjunction with both the EMG Business Management<br />
<strong>System</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> and the local department's documented process and procedures.<br />
Section 5 of this document defines the system to be used for calibrations performed by<br />
departments within EMG:<br />
� Describes calibration facilities‟ policies, procedures, and processes established to meet<br />
the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005(E), ANSI/NCSL Z540.1-1994 (R2002),<br />
ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006, ISO 10012:2003(E) and the needs our customers and/or<br />
external registration bodies.<br />
� Provides a common standard upon which EMG facilities‟ calibration and Business<br />
Management <strong>System</strong>s are built.<br />
� Provides a detailed description of how calibration is accomplished at <strong>Agilent</strong><br />
<strong>Technologies</strong>.<br />
The user of any printed copy of this controlled document is responsible for verifying it is the correct version prior to use.<br />
This manual contains links to subordinate documents that are restricted to <strong>Agilent</strong> personnel only and may not work if<br />
accessing this document from a public site.
