<strong>RH</strong>-<strong>TRAMPAC</strong> Document Rev. 0, June 2006revision, only the revised elements require preparation and documentation. The site shallensure that the information submitted in the form <strong>of</strong> a content code addition or revisionaccurately describes the waste and waste generating processes based on site knowledge.2. The site submits the request (e.g., draft content code or revised content code elements) inwriting to the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer for review.3. Under the direction <strong>of</strong> the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer, the submittal shall bereviewed for completeness and satisfactory demonstration <strong>of</strong> compliance with alltransportation requirements <strong>of</strong> the <strong>RH</strong>-<strong>TRAMPAC</strong>. As part <strong>of</strong> this review, the WIPP<strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer responsibilities may include a review to ensure that theinformation required for each <strong>of</strong> the previously identified elements (Section 1.5.1) iscomplete, compliance with the list <strong>of</strong> allowable chemicals/materials pursuant toSection 4.3 is evaluated, and confinement layer release rates and G values areappropriately applied in the calculation <strong>of</strong> flammable gas generation limits pursuant tothe methodology referenced in Section 5.1. The WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer shallnot approve any submittal that does not demonstrate compliance with everytransportation requirement for the <strong>RH</strong>-TRU 72-B.4. Upon completion <strong>of</strong> the review, the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer shall send formalwritten notification to the site indicating the status <strong>of</strong> the request. If the request is denied,the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer shall indicate in the notification the reason why therequest was not accepted and shall identify which elements <strong>of</strong> the submittal areincomplete or out <strong>of</strong> compliance.5. If the request is approved, a site may begin using the new or revised content code once<strong>of</strong>ficial notification is received from the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer. Sites maynot use proposed content code additions or revisions to make shipments in the <strong>RH</strong>-TRU72-B prior to receipt <strong>of</strong> written notification from the WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer.6. The WIPP <strong>RH</strong>-TRU Payload Engineer shall record all approved content code additions orrevisions in the <strong>RH</strong>-TRUCON document. The current revision <strong>of</strong> the <strong>RH</strong>-TRUCONdocument shall be available to sites.1.5-3
