I am <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Eagle moiety from <strong>the</strong>Frog Clan. My <strong>interns</strong>hip is here in Juneau, Alaskaunder <strong>the</strong> guidance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Communicationsdepartment. Currently, I am working towardscompleting my A.A. in liberal arts at Leeward Community College. My plan is toadvance my academic career in psychology at Fort Lewis in Colorado.Values In Action Statement<strong>Sealaska</strong> has provided many new opportunities for me, exposing new paths I can takein life to get ahead. Through this <strong>interns</strong>hip, I gained knowledge about my culturalbackground, important communication skills, and found a path that suits meacademically. Haa Latseen, I was able to develop leadership skills thanks to <strong>the</strong> teamhere at <strong>Sealaska</strong>. During my <strong>interns</strong>hip, I was placed in an administrative role helpingwith social media, such as Facebook, Daily News Bulletin and Wooch.een. Whileinterning with <strong>the</strong> Communications department, I have seen many places in Alaska andexperienced an entirely new lifestyle here. For <strong>the</strong> first time ever, I was able to attend<strong>the</strong> annual meeting and participate in <strong>the</strong> ga<strong>the</strong>ring <strong>of</strong> our people. <strong>Sealaska</strong> providedme with a great <strong>interns</strong>hip which I am truly grateful for.
