SW2S D2.4 PU Contract N. 233967EXECUTIVE SUMMARYSAFEWAY2SCHOOL aims to design, develop, integrate and evaluate technologies for providing a holistic and safe transportation service forchildren, from the door of their homes to the entry door of their school back and forth, encompassing tools, services and training for all keyactors in the chain. The aim of task A6.6 is to verify that the SAFEWAY2SCHOOL systems are fully functional and compliant with the initial requirements. Toachieve this result, a technical verification protocol has been defined by Task 6.6 partners in order to test each system developed within theproject and to use common verification procedure between different plots sites. The methodology that has been developed within the SAFEWAY2SCHOOL project is compliant to the ISO 9001:2008 (Quality ManagementSystems) and requires the compilation of Design Verification Plans (DVP) for each of the system developed within the project. The DVP of amodule includes all the requirement defined in D2.2 for this module, the verification procedure, the partner responsible for verification and thethreshold that have to be passed for the technical verification. The Technical verification protocol of SAFEWAY2SCHOOL foresees that for each module a copy of the DVP should be completed, signed andstored as a record of technical verification. The following module has been technically verified within the project:• Driver Support System (DSS)• On board Unit (OBU)• Bus Unit (BU)• Intelligent Bus Stop (IBS)• VRU Unit• Bus Stop Inventory tool (BSIT)• Mobile applicationFor each pilot site a subset of this system has been technically verified in order to assess that all systems used within the pilot are fully workingduring the test. In the document the results obtained at each pilot site has been reported.January 2012 2 UNIMORE

SW2S D2.4 PU Contract N. 233967It is important to note that the verification conducted here does not replace the legal (or other) requirements associated with the use of eachtest site (or public road network). Each partner is individually responsible for ensuring compliance with any regional, or site-specific,requirements for testing of prototype equipment and vehicles.January 2012 3 UNIMORE
