Top finisherswere the senior teamof Jonathan Leili,Jamil Mirabito,Sean Prudhoe andEvan Gutmanwith an end timeof 1:49.83 and theteam of sophomores2) H.I.I.T.High-intensity interval training continues to bea popular exercise method this year. H.I.I.T. sessionscan last up to 30 minutes with short, intense bursts ofcardio followed by a period of recovery. In October,the American College of Sports Medicine said H.I.I.T.would be 2014’s top fitness trend. The P90X and Insanityworkouts, which were popular the last couple years, aregood examples of this form of exercise.An up and coming popularH.I.I.T. workout is Focus T 25, createdby Shaun Thompson the creator ofInsanity. Focus T 25 is a 25-minuteworkout structured around burningcalories, with intense cardio, abs andlegs that is meant to sculpt your wholebody. It is split up into two parts whichare five week cycles, the first being theAlpha cycle which is where you beginto build your foundation. Tops finishes includedPrudhoe in the 100yard butterfly, juniorCollin Deans in the100 yard freestyle and100 yard backstrokeand freshman AdamSandonato in the 500yard freestyle.The girls also cameto an easy conclusion,only losing three races.Winners includedCabany in the 100yard butterfly, juniorKatelyn Synder in the100 yard backstrokeand Alexandra DeVilliers in the 100 yardbreaststroke.The final event, the 400 yard freestylerelay, was successful for the Warriors. Theteam of freshman Kyle Dillion, sophomoreColin Naturale, Leili and Ryan closed themeet for the guys with a time of 3:44.35 andthe team of freshman Samantha Sordora,junior Eileen D’Auria, sophomore RachelPhipps and Narvarte finished with a finaltime of 4:13.50.up the intensity of the workouts and focuses on shapingyour body.3) Virtual Fitness ClassesGroup fitness classes and personal trainers arenothing new, but in today’s technology obsessed world,you can do it virtually either at the gym or in the privacyof your own home. Live Skype training is available withmany instructors. There are many types of virtual classesavailable, but you can also get virtualpersonalized fitness routines by qualifiedpersonal trainers who will customize aworkout program for you based on yourindividual goals.Moving into 2014, there are more andmore ways to work out and fit it into youreveryday schedule.
