Guidelines for Conservation and PreservationChajjas: Sloping chajjas can be used to functionally protect the openingsfrom the sun and the rains, the design shall be adopted from thevocabulary given.Section 2 – The WallWall HeightOpenings inthe façadeColourWall Surface: Ground Floor: 3.5 M (heights has to be checked)First Floor: 3 M (heights has to be checked). There is a mouldingwhich is a break line between the G. Floor and F. Floor in thisstreet. This feature has to be maintained throughout the façade ofevery building. The style of this break line should be adopted fromthe vocabulary given.: Windows shall not be recessed by more than 15 cm. Onlypaneled doors and windows matching the design given in thevocabulary are allowed. Only vertical grills/safety bars are allowedand any ornamental iron work/grills/jallis are not allowed. Awningare not allowed. Coloured/structural/reflective glass works are notallowed in the street. All designs for the openings of doors andwindows should match the design given in the vocabulary: Natural, white or off white or nut brown.: Plastered smooth to give the feel and visual appearance of a limeplastered finish.ColourSection 3 – BaseThe height ofthe basementOrnamentation: Yellow, white or off whiteCornices may be used if necessary, however the design should bematching to the design given in the vocabulary.:30 to 60 cms. from the street. Oxide/cement finishes are to beprovided and marble/granite or other finishes are not allowed.Plinth line is to be maintained through out the street as per theexisting plinth line.: External lighting fixtures on the façade are not allowed.Sinage - House Name/name of occupant if required to bedisplayed, are o be displayed on.
