➤➤➤ Design and functionThe RakeMax ® Screen is perfectly suited to bothmunicipal and industrial wastewater, and process waterscreening. The cleaning elements, attached to thechain system, can easily be adjusted to differentrequirements. These elements can be conventionalrakes, or brushes, or plastic wipers. As the cleaningelements are changeable, the screenings dischargecapacity is then adjustable. This is especially favourablefor high solids loads.The installation height of the RakeMax ® above groundlevel is very small and only dependent, even in case ofdeep channels, on the installation height of screeningstransport or washing units.Both ends of the cleaning elements are connected todrive chains. Each chain is driven by a sprocket on acommon shaft and a flange mounted gear motor.Furthermore, defined meshing of the cleaning rakeswith the bar rack ensures a high operating reliability. Ifthe screen operation is blocked, a mechanical overloadprotection interrupts the closed linkage.Flow diagram
