The bridegroomwas attended by his brother Albert <strong>Meier</strong>of Jewell, Oregon; by Earl Matson ofBattle Ground, brother of the bride; byBob Matsonof BattleGround,bother ofthe bride;and JackGilder ofWarrenton,O r e g o n ,cousin ofthe bride.Ushers wereRalph Matson,BattleG r o u n d ,brother ofthe bride,and Tom Vail,Kelly Hill. Little Christy Matson, nieceof the bride was flower girl. She wore ayellow taffeta gown and carried pink gerberas.Ring bearer was little Ronnie Lyfordwearing a white pique suit and carryingtheir rings on a white satin pillow.Miss Pat Carlson of Cherry Grove andMiss Barbara Matson of Kelso, cousin ofthe bride were candle lighters. Mrs. La-Verne Dixon played the wedding musicon the organ and accompanied the Rev.Gerald Gardner who sang preceding theceremony, “Take Thou My Heart” and“Now I belong to Jesus” Following theexchange of vows he sand, “The Lord’sPrayer.”Following the ceremony a reception washeld in the church parlors. In the receivingline with the bridal party were Mrs.Hilda Matson, mother of the bride, in adress of navy blue crepe, and Mrs. Barbarta<strong>Meier</strong>, mother of the bridegroom,wearing a flowered dress of navy blue sild.Both worecorsages ofwhite carnationsandredroses.Barbara (Lorsung) <strong>Meier</strong>, Leo <strong>Meier</strong>, Helen (Matson) <strong>Meier</strong>, Hilda Belle (Baumgartner) MatsonMrs. IdaMae Emerycut thefour tieredw e d d i n gcake whichwas servedby Mrs.Irene Hilman,BrushP r a i r i e ,aunt of thebride. Mrs.Martha Krauche and Mrs. Les Bodin,both of Battle Ground; and Miss BettyWeihl of Fargher Lake poured. Miss ArleneSwanson was in charge of the guestbook. Miss Jacqueline Wooldridge servedthe groom’s cake. Mrs. Evelyn Stanyer ofMcLoughlin Heights; Mrs. Louis Gelderof Warrenton, Oregon cousin of the bride;and Mrs. Esther <strong>Meier</strong>, Jewell, Oregon,sister-in-law of the bridegroom, openedthe gifts.
