Disclaimer of Liability: The term Exhibitor shall includepersons taking part in any competition, exhibition or displayarranged by the Society and the owner of any animal, plant,machinery or other thing involved in any such competition ordisplay or otherwise exhibited on the Showground. Save fordeath or personal injury caused by breach of its duty theSociety will not be responsible for death, injury, disease,damage or loss caused to any Exhibitor or to his or her servantor agent or to any animal, article, plant, machinery or thing ofwhatever nature brought on to the Showground by the saidExhibitor from whatever cause death, injury, disease, damageor loss arises.Save as aforesaid the Exhibitor shall indemnify the Societyagainst all claims, damages and expenses whatsoever in anyway arising out of the presence of the Exhibitor, his servants,agents, exhibits, vehicles or equipment on the Showgroundand shall assume full responsibility therefor.Acceptance of the foregoing provisions shall be a condition ofentry.Exhibitors are advised to insure against fire and otherappropriate risk not only as regards their own property butalso against any third party claims.2. All exhibits must be delivered to the Showground not laterthan 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday 20 th June. Special labels willbe supplied by the Society and must be addressed to the returnjourney, and have number(s) of Class(es) on same. Boxescontaining hives, jars, or sections must be screwed and notnailed and the hives, bottles and sections so placed that theycan be lifted out and replaced without disturbing the packing.3. The number of the exhibit will be detailed in a letter sent bythe Society approximately 2 weeks prior to the Show. Labelswill be provided which should be completed with the correctexhibit number and must be placed on the correspondingexhibit - viz., jars: on side of jar about 12mm from thebottom; sections, containers, frames and wax: at right topcorner of case and also on each section, frame and on theunderside of 454g waxcake. No goods will be staged unlessthis rule is complied with.4. Entries will be disqualified if any card, trade mark or name ofthe Exhibitor is placed upon any part of an exhibit except inClasses 10 and 31. Every article exhibited must be theproperty of the Exhibitor and all Honey must have beengathered in the natural way within Great Britain and NorthernIreland by bees which are the property of the Exhibitor.5. Comb Honey Sections, 108mm by 108mm, to be staged inWhite Section Show Cases with window, allowing easyaccess to the Judge. Sections with fixed glass will bedisqualified.Cut Comb to be shown in standard white containers withtransport snap-on lids and must have a minimum weight of200g. The comb may be removed from its container duringthe course of judging.Round Sections must have clear covers on both sides.Frames - Each frame must be exhibited in a separate glazedcase.6. Liquid and Set Honey must be shown in British StandardPattern 454g (1lb) Squat Jars with commercial lacquered orwhite plastic lids, except in classes 10, 31 and 327. Mead to be shown in clear glass punted bottles of 70-75clcapacity, without lettering, fluting or ornamentation of anykind. Only top flanged corks should be used.8. No Exhibitor shall be allowed to take more than one prize inany one class.9. The Judge shall be empowered to withhold prizes in case ofinsufficient merit.10. Should there be any class of three or less entries, the value ofthe first prize may be reduced at the discretion of the Judge tothat of the second, the second to that of the third and no thirdprize will be awarded.11. The Judge will commence their inspection at 2.00 p.m. onWednesday 20 th June, the day before the opening of theShow. The Honey Section will be closed during the judging.12. Exhibits of Honey may be placed in their positions in theHoney Section before the opening and removed after theShow by Exhibitors themselves or their representatives. Inthe event of neither the Exhibitor nor a person with writtenauthority from the Exhibitor being present to place or removeexhibits, they will be placed and removed by men hired andpaid by the Society, but this will be done on the understandingthat the men are hired to do the work on behalf of theExhibitors and solely at their risk and that the Society will bein no way responsible for expenses incurred or loss of orinjury to exhibits by errors or accidents in placing,despatching or conveying exhibits.13. The Honey Section will remain open to the public until 6.00p.m. on Sunday 26th June, the last day of the Show. Exhibitsmay be collected by hand only from 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. onSunday 26th June. Honey exhibits will also be available forremoval from 6.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on Monday 25th June.14. The Society undertakes no responsibility for the receipt ordespatch of exhibits, nor for any injury exhibits may sustainduring the Show or otherwise.15. A ticket of admission to the Showground, valid for use on oneday only, will be sent to Exhibitors who are not Members ofthe Society, provided that the entry fees paid, inclusive ofVAT, are £10.50 or more.16. Only those entered in the competitive classes can sell homeproduced honey and related products in the Marquee duringthe Show.HEALTH REGULATIONS1. Exhibitors must abide by all Animal Health legislation relating to their exhibits that may be applicable at the time of the Show.
