Crimes per thousand residentsdropped slightly from 186.6 in 2011 to184.10 in 2012. This is lower than <strong>se</strong>veralpopular nearby n<strong>eig</strong>hbo<strong>rh</strong>oods includingShumway, Arnada and EstherShort. As our n<strong>eig</strong>hbo<strong>rh</strong>ood associationtakes steps to help increa<strong>se</strong> public safetyand <strong>se</strong>curity as outlined in the 2012n<strong>eig</strong>hbo<strong>rh</strong>ood action plan, we hope tocontinue this trend.N<strong>eig</strong>hbors ImproveCommunity GardensGateway Garden at 39 th and P Street got amuch needed tilling recently thanks toGerald Taylor <strong>of</strong> Thrivent(gerald.taylor@thrivent.com).
