Dear Employer Representative,The <strong>Long</strong> <strong>Island</strong> section of the American Society for Quality is pleased toannounce that we have started an annual quality <strong>award</strong> for achievements andcontributions to quality in the work place. The purpose of these <strong>award</strong>s are torecognize the hard work and dedication of our local businesses to quality, and topromote quality on <strong>Long</strong> <strong>Island</strong>.All applications will be reviewed by the <strong>ASQ</strong> section 303 board and five winnerswill be chosen from the various industries on <strong>Long</strong> <strong>Island</strong>. Winners will receive aplaque and will be recognized with a duplicate plaque to be displayed in the <strong>Long</strong><strong>Island</strong> Quality hall of fame. Two representatives from each of our winners will beinvited to accept their <strong>award</strong> at our 50 th anniversary celebratory dinner.Examples of achievements to be considered but not limited to are: Achievement insupply chain management, project achievement in health, safety & environment,achievement in innovation or product development, project achievement inorganizational business development.Please print and fill out the application on the back of this letter along with adescription of your company’s contribution or quality achievement. Submit theapplication by August 1 st 2009.
