Significant Client AssignmentsServed as a technical advisor and lead partner to many <strong>of</strong> KPMG’s largest and mostcomplex public sector clients, including the states <strong>of</strong> Nebraska, New York, Michigan,Pennsylvania, and South Carolina; the cities <strong>of</strong> Houston, Indianapolis, Miami,Milwaukee, and Washington, DC; and the City/County <strong>of</strong> San Francisco.Selected Significant AccomplishmentIn June 1998, was requested to lead the building and leading the Assurance &Advisory Services Center (AASC). The AASC is responsible for the development andsupport <strong>of</strong> Global Assurance products. This is one <strong>of</strong> my most significantaccomplishments and contributions while with KPMG. During the initial two-yearperiod, the AASC evolved from a non-existent organization to an organizationcomprised <strong>of</strong> 150 people and an annual budget <strong>of</strong> $40 million. Some <strong>of</strong> the mostsignificant accomplishments <strong>of</strong> the AASC include: Development <strong>of</strong> Vector, KPMG’s first audit enabling technology tool. Development <strong>of</strong> Comprehensive Business Risk Assessment, a globallydeveloped enterprise risk assessment service methodology. Development <strong>of</strong> world-wide Audit Manual. Developed process for world-wide deployment <strong>of</strong> Assurance products. Forged global working relationships with GCIO and GCKO to facilitateglobal development, deployment and support <strong>of</strong> products. Launched KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute. Launched KPMG’s Assurance Research Institute.3
