What you writedown is the answers to these sorts of questions and even then, you need to do it quickly and inshort hand. Whatever style suits you will do, so long as it is in a manner that you can decipher. (Itmakes no difference if no one else can make head-nor-tail of it.)This is what your notes might look like:Essay Writing Exercise 2:Go to the Board of Studies website and locate last year’s <strong>HSC</strong> paper for the <strong>English</strong><strong>Extension</strong> 1 course. Find the question that relates to your elective and take ten minutes towrite some notes in shorthand about what resources you have to answer that question.Look over your notes. Do you have enough material to write a decent essay? If not,identify what is missing – i.e. do you need another or a better related text? Have youstudied enough theory? Do you know enough quotes?
