Roberson assumes thepresidency at the <strong>2009</strong> AmericanDental Association’s annualsession. He has given updatesin clinical operative dentistryin Lima, Peru, and Santiago,Chile, among his ICD-relatedpr<strong>of</strong>essional activities.■ ■ ■1977 ■ ■ ■David J. Dobson, DDS, soldhis practice in Chapel Hill inMarch 2008 and is “now happilyretired.”Charles “Chuck” Norman,DDS, was installed as a trustee <strong>of</strong>the American Dental Associationdistrict during the ADA’s 149thAnnual Session in October 2008.Norman, who practices generaldentistry in Greensboro, N.C.,will serve on the ADA Board asthe trustee from the 16th District(representing Virginia, <strong>North</strong>Carolina and South Carolina.)<strong>The</strong> ADA Board formulates andreviews policies and programsand makes recommendationsto the members <strong>of</strong> the ADA'sgoverning body, the House <strong>of</strong>Delegates. His previous ADAroles include chairing theCouncil on Dental Practice,the Well Being Committee andthe Dental Practice IndicatorsCommittee.
