PTTurn-SwingThecomponentsrequiredtoassembleaPTTurn-Swingtargetincludethefollowing:-OnesetoftwoPTfeet-Oneassembledturn/swingactuator-OnePTHoldheadassembly-Twostabilizerstakes-Onepulleystakewithpulleys(separatebox)-Two5'lengthsofrope-Two50'lengthsofrope(separatebox)-Fourbolts-FourlocknutsToolsNeeded:Socketwrenches(two3/4")WiththePTfeetontheground,aligntheholesatthebottomoftheassembledturn/swingactuatorbetweenthemasshowninFigure10.Insertthebolts,attachthelocknuts,andtighten.Aligntheholesatthetopoftheturn/swingactuatorandthePTHoldheadassemblyasshowninthefigure.Insertthebolts,attachthelocknuts,andtighten.Standard1x2stripsofwoodareattachedtothePTHoldheadassemblybyinsertingthembetweenthebracketsasshowninFigure10andtighteningthewingboltsbyhand.Cardboardtargetscanbeattachedtothewoodstripswithstaplesorbysomeothermeans.Papercombattargetscanbeattachedtothecardboardforthreatidentificationscenarios.Placethefinishedtargetinitsproperplaceontherangeaccordingtoyourscenario.AssemblethepulleystakeasshowninFigure10.SecurethepulleystakeinthegroundinapositionleftofandparalleltothetargetlineasshowninFigure10.Runoneofthe50-footlengthsofropefromtheturningarmofthetargettothecontrolpoint,goingthroughoneofthepulleysofthepulleystake.Runtheother50-footlengthofropefromtheswingingarmofthetargettothecontrolpoint,goingthroughtheotherpulleyofthepulleystake.Pulltheturningcontrolropetotheedgeofthetarget.Releasetheropeandthetargetwillautomaticallysnapbackintothefacedposition.Pulltheswingingcontrolropetoswingthetargettooneside.Releasetheropeandthetargetwillautomaticallysnapbackintotheuprightposition.Whenswingingthetarget,asoftorslowpullmaypreventthetargetfromreturningtoitsuprightposition.Toadjusttheverticalrestingangleofthetarget,rotatethesetscrewthatstopsthetargetinitsuprightposition.Ifdesired,addafewdropsofloctitetokeepthescrewfrommoving.Toactivatemultipletargetsatthesametime,usethe5-footlengthsofropetoconnecttheturningarmandswingingofonetargettotheturningarmandswingingarmofthenexttargetasshowninFigure10.Targetsmustremaininastraightlineforthischainingfeaturetowork.Note:Dependinguponthesurfaceofyourrange,itmaybenecessarytousethestabilizerstakestokeepthetargetsinposition.ACTIONTARGET•POBOX636•PROVO,UT84603 •801-377-8033 •WWW.ACTIONTARGET.COM 21
