molar`q= = a^q^pebbqSUBSEA JUMPER ASSEMBLIES ANDDISTRIBUTION HARNESSDESCRIPTIONSubsea jumper assemblies and distribution harnesses are provided by pb^=`lk ® for use with pb^=`lk ® subseaconnectors. Many subsea electrical and optical cable and connection systems utilize Pressure Balanced Oil Filled(PBOF) cabling solutions. These cables utilize an elastomeric tube as a conduit for electric wires and fiber optic lines. The elastomeric conduit is filled with a compensating fluid, allowing the sea pressure to freely communicate with theinterior oil volume, equalizing the pressure in the assembly. This option for cabling provides for a reliable and configurablecable system suitable for many subsea applications. This technology has been widely utilized in ocean scienceobservatories, towed arrays, drilling systems, production control systems and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systemsto name a few. They have become a critical component in many subsea systems today and Seacon is pleasedto offer this solution with its Subsea fiber optic and electrical connectors.············KEY FEATURESIntegral fiber management system within hose to mitigate excessive movement or forces applied directly to theinternal fibersGood cable flexibility (typical 5" bend radius)Enhanced visibility, typically Orange and Yellow in color (other colors available)Deployment techniques similar to jacketed cableGood ROV maneuverability during connector matingEasy interface to connectorEarly leak detection; some hoses are designed for over-pressure and may be used to offer visible leak pathsEase of repairDouble Barrier against water ingressTemperature and pressure CompensatedSize 13mm & 20mm ID (Other sizes available upon request)Multi-mode and single-mode availableApril 2011Precision Subsea ASMerdeveien 2f, 3676 Notodden, NorwayTEL: +47 90 56 55 76 FAX: +47 94 77 37 46E-Mail: sales@precisionsubsea.no Website: www.precisionsubsea.noPSAS-DS-0003JUMPER ASSEMBLIESRev 2Page 1 of 2

The hose is attached to the subsea connector by a robust mechanicallyswaged/machined fitting that adapts to the hose. These engineered fittings include filling ports and are easily mountedto the subsea connector with an adapter housing utilizing o-ring seals. These subsea connector jumpers are typically30 meters in length on average, but can be constructed in a variety of lengths (up to 500m) to suit the needs ofa particular application. The PBOF approach utilizes a main elastomeric tube (hose) as a mechanically protectiveconduit for electrical wires and/or fiber optic cores. The elastomeric conduit is filled with a pressure-compensating fluid(typically a dielectric) allowing the seawater pressure to be freely communicated across the flexible hose walls, to theinterior oil volume. Equalizing the pressure and temperature in the assembly allows for the variable effects of ambientpressure and temperature during typical storage and operational regimes. PBOF hoses have been field provenfor many years throughout the marine and submarine industries, this option for cabling provides for a reliable, configurablecable system suitable for many subsea applications.^ää=êÉ~ëçå~ÄäÉ=ÉÑÑçêíë=Ü~îÉ=ÄÉÉå=í~âÉå=íç=ÉåëìêÉ=íÜ~í=íÜÉ=áåÑçêã~íáçå=Åçåí~áåÉÇ=ÜÉêÉáå=áë=~ÅÅìê~íÉ=~í=íÜÉ=Ç~íÉ=çÑ=éìÄäáÅ~íáçåI=Äìí=åç=êÉéêÉëÉåí~íáçå=çê=ï~êê~åíó=~ë=íç=íÜÉ~ÅÅìê~Åó=çê=ÅçãéäÉíÉåÉëë=çÑ=ëìÅÜ=áåÑçêã~íáçå=áë=áåíÉåÇÉÇ=çê=íç=ÄÉ=áãéäáÉÇ=Äó=áíë=áåÅäìëáçå=ÜÉêÉáåK==^åó=~åÇ=~ää=êÉéêÉëÉåí~íáçåë=~åÇ=ï~êê~åíáÉë=éÉêí~áåáåÖ=íç=íÜÉ=áåÑçêã~Jíáçå=~åÇ=éêçÇìÅíë=êÉÑÉêêÉÇ=íç=ÜÉêÉáå=ëÜ~ää=ÄÉ=ëÉí=ÑçêíÜ=áå=mêÉÅáëáçå=pìÄëÉ~=^p=ëí~åÇ~êÇ=ë~äÉë=çêÇÉê=ÑçêãK=få=~ÇÇáíáçåI=mêÉÅáëáçå=pìÄëÉ~=^p=êÉëÉêîÉë=íÜÉ=êáÖÜí=íç=ã~âÉÅÜ~åÖÉë=íç=íÜÉ=ÅçåíÉåíë=ÜÉêÉçÑ=ïáíÜçìí=åçíáÅÉI=íÜÉêÉÑçêÉ=áí=áë=ëìÖÖÉëíÉÇ=íÜ~í=~í=íÜÉ=íáãÉ=çÑ=áåèìáêóI=íÜÉ=~ééêçéêá~íÉ=ë~äÉë=çÑÑáÅÉ=çê=Ñ~Åíçêó=ÄÉ=Åçåí~ÅíÉÇ=ÇáêÉÅíäó=Ñçê=îÉêáJÑáÅ~íáçå=çÑ=éìÄäáëÜÉÇ=ëéÉÅáÑáÅ~íáçåë=~åÇ=éêçÇìÅíë=~î~áä~ÄáäáíóK© OMNN=mêÉÅáëáçå=pìÄëÉ~=^p=============^ii=ofdeqp=obpbosbaApril 2011Precision Subsea ASMerdeveien 2f, 3676 Notodden, NorwayTEL: +47 90 56 55 76 FAX: +47 94 77 37 46E-Mail: sales@precisionsubsea.no Website: www.precisionsubsea.noPSAS-DS-0003JUMPER ASSEMBLIESRev 2Page 2 of 2
