L.L.Bean Grocery PanniersThe L.L.Bean Grocery Panniers (260470) are for use on an adult bicycle with a suitable rear bikerack installed.Racks compatible with the panniers include the Delta Mega Rack Ultra Universal (271822) andthe Delta Mega Rack Universal (228715). Other rear racks may also provide the support neededto attach the panniers properly. Please follow the instructions below to safely install your new panniers.• Line up the panniers over the bike rack so the L.L.Bean logos are closest to the back ofthe bicycle. This provides the best attachment and puts the bike light accessory loop atthe back.• Note that the underside of each pannier has a black bungee cord with a metal hookattached (closing the panniers flat will make it easier to see the hooks).• Attach the metal hook on the side closest to you to the bike rack (Illustration #1). Youwill find an attachment point on the lower part of the rack, approximately 2” above thebike axle.Illustration #1

• Center the grab handle of the panniers on the top of the bike rack (Illustration #2).Illustration #2• Next, lean over your bicycle and locate the bungee cord and hook on the opposite side.• Place the bungee cord between the thumb and index finger of each hand with the hook inbetween (Illustration #3). Pull down and secure the hook on the lower rack attachmentpoint. The hook and attachment point are directly under the model’s index finger in thephoto.Illustration #3Before each ride, verify that both hooks are in place, the panniers are centered on the rack and inthe proper position, and the panniers are tight against the rack supports.FALL HAZARDFailure to properly install hooks may cause hooks to become caught in spokes, resulting in a fall. This could also result in damaged spokes. If you have any questions, please call our Product Support Specialists at 800-226-7552 between8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
