Put the informations altogether…IGR J18284-0345- It is a Galactic sources: its absorption is consistent with the Galactic one (N H =2.4x10 22 cm -2 ) we considered the source distance at 8.5 kpc .- It is not in the Bulge but it is near the Bulge. In a position where is possible to findboth LMXB and HMXB.Position of thesource in theGalaxyGrimm et al. 2002- There are no optical counterparts detected (Atel #1982), even if the position is notin the Galactic Bulge is compatible with a LMXB low probability to be a HMXB.-The extrapolated flux from XMM 2005 quiescent spectrum:F (2-10 keV)= 4X10 -13 erg cm -2 s -1 , L= 4x10 32 erg s -1 too high to be a X-ray binarywith a BH…so it is probably a NS! (see Campana et al 2001: 10 32-33 erg s -1 NS/10 30-31 erg s -1 BH)
