Circle of Liechtenstein Collectors Publication Series No. 15Liechtenstein Postmarks – Part 2With Volume 15 in its Publication Series theCircle of Liechtenstein Collectors (RLS) revisitsa topic which has been the subject ofmany previous publications, including somein this very Series. In fact Volume 2 in theSeries, by Gerhard W. Blümel, published aslong ago as 1964 and out of print for manyyears, was concerned with the subject of“Liechtenstein Postmarks”. In 2002 thissubject underwent a fundamental revisionin Volume 10 of the RLS Publication Seriesby the authors of that volume, Karl-HeinzBauer and Dr. Karlheinz Metzler. After morethan 10 years which have seen the appearanceof a large number of new postmarks itwas now time to update this revision and –in accordance with the wishes of many collectors– to augment it with a complete reworkingof the subject of special orcommemorative postmarks. The RLS ispleased to have been able to obtainthe services of the authors Karl-HeinzBauer and Dr. Karlheinz Metzler againfor the purpose.The two authors have based their updatingand reworking on the original version ofthese chapters of the handbook and havealso adopted the original numberingscheme, which has been augmented accordingly.This means that the handbooktoo can be appropriately updated and augmented.Volume 15 in the RLS PublicationSeries is intended to make the two authors’comprehensive research done over manyyears accessible to a wider public.Only available in German.15
