Sacred Heart Banquet &Conference Center<strong>Rental</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>Part One - General RulesThere is no smoking anywhere in the Banquet & Conference Center. Evidence of smoking will result in lossof the security deposit.No tape or adhesive of any kind shall be used on the walls, floors, ceiling, doors, etc..No thumbtacks, staples or nails are to be affixed to the walls, floors, ceilings, doors, etc..Nothing is the be attached to the ceiling.No table confetti, glitter, bubbles, rice, bird seed, silly string, dance dust, fresh flower pedals.Balloons are permitted using balloon weights only.All candles MUST have glass protection.Hall does provide a limited number of high chairsFog machines are not permitted.No alcohol is allowed outside of the banquet hall—including restrooms, hallways and Banquet/Conference Centerparking lot.Children under 17 MUST be supervised in the Banquet/Conference Center at All Times.Sacred Heart has the right to control music volume and or activities.Security Lights are NEVER to be removed or covered.Emergency Exits are to be kept clear at all times.Renters and their services are not permitted admittance to the facilities until the designated time on the <strong>Rental</strong>Contract. Renters and their services must vacate the facility by the time designated on the <strong>Rental</strong> Contract.* Set Up and Clean Up Times are included in the designated hours of rental.Renter is responsible for taking out all items brought in and throwing away all disposable items in garbagecans and bags provided. No items are to be left overnight. Items left behind will be disposed of. All payments made must be cashiers check, certifiedcheck, money order or cash, NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED.In order to reserve the Banquet Facility for all inclusive days, times and pricing you must meet minimum guest countguarantees or additional charges apply.Less Than 100 Guests…$750.00Less Than 150 Guests…$500.00Non-Inclusive Hall <strong>Rental</strong> and Food ServicesDuring non-inclusive days and times the hall is rented at an hourly rate which is to bedetermined on time and day of the week.At time of contract singing you must provide all articles within this contract as well as…How many hours of rental you will require including set up and clean out timesTentative food and beverage selectionsA 15% deposit of the total anticipated cost , credit card for security deposit and minimum guest guaranteeFinal guest count, food and beverage selections are due (15) days prior to your scheduled event. All payments made must becashiers check, certified check, money order or cash, NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED.Final balance is due (15) days prior to your event.Hall rental fees are due in full (15) days prior to your scheduled event.Part Four - Alcohol PolicyThe Renter is allowed to serve alcoholic beverages except under the followingcircumstances: It is prohibited by law to accept money for alcohol, or to sell tickets to an event wherealcohol is present unless a Special License for Sale of Beer and Wine Only and/or Beer, Wine and Spiritsfor consumption on the premises is obtained by the renter from the State of Michigan Liquor ControlCommission.The renter must purchase and provide proof of purchase of…1) A Liquor License and2) A Liquor Liability Bond to the Sacred Heart-Thomas’s Catering in a Timely FashionDue to the increased risk of liability at events at which alcohol is being served, the renter agrees that not only will the renter obtainall necessary insurance, but in addition thereto the renter specifically agrees to hold the Sacred Heart, Thomas’s Catering and AllEmployees harmless from any and all claims arising out of the rental of the Sacred Heart’s Premises and/or the serving of alcoholicbeverages. The renter further agrees to hold harmless andindemnify the Sacred Heart, Thomas’s Catering and all Employees from any and all claims and/or causes of actions that might ariseout of the consumption of alcohol or the use of the premises, regardless of whether or not said claim has any basis in law or equity.The renter agrees to promptly notify the Sacred Heart and/or Thomas’sCatering of any claim, provide all costs necessary in defending the claim, including but not limited to attorneyfees and other costs of defense.General Alcohol RulesAll Liquor must be in fifths-no liters or gallons.Bar closes thirty minutes prior to your scheduled dinner time and thirty minutes before the conclusion of your eventSacred Heart has a no shot policy and there are no exceptions to this ruleSacred Heart and Thomas’s catering will check identification of any guest that appears to be under the age of thirty.We practice a Zero Tolerance Policy for under age drinking and no exceptions will be made.Passing drinks to minors will result in loss of security deposit.Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering has the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to any guests for any reason.Initial______


Sacred Heart Banquet &Conference Center<strong>Rental</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong>Part Five - Use Of Kitchen FacilitiesKitchen facilities are not available under any circumstances to the host or any other guests. Outside food brought in isstrictly prohibited by Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering.Part Six - DJ, Band, Florist, Photographer and Bakery DeliveriesDeliveries and set ups are available two hours before your scheduled event start time. If the Banquet Center is not occupiedduring the day of your event deliveries can be made earlier per permission of Sacred Heart at scheduled times. Due to spacerestrictions we ask the all audio equipment, boxes, etc, that are not being used be returned to the vehicles and parked in the rearof the Banquet Center. Sacred Heart cannot guarantee refrigerator space for cakes, flowers, etc. We ask all deliveries becompleted one hour before event start time.Part Seven - Cancellation PolicyIf for any reason you have the need to cancel your event with Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering, a letter ofcancellation is required before any form of deposit can be returned. Sacred Heart cannot actively try to re-book a room until a letterof cancellation is received.Deposits are not refundable within thirty days of your scheduled event. You, the host are alsoresponsible for fifty percent of your total anticipated cost if cancellationoccurs within thirty days of your scheduled event.If cancellation occurs before thirty days of your scheduled event deposits are refundable less a twenty five percent handlingcharge only if the room is re-booked for the same guest count guarantee or greater. Deposits are notrefundable if the room is not re-booked.Part Eight - Disclosure PolicyIf for any reason beyond our control, including but not limited to accidents, government requisitions, restrictions, or regulations oncommodities or supplies, or acts of God, Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering is unable to perform it’s obligations under thiscontract, such non performance is excused and Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering may terminate this contract without anyfurther liability of any nature.The host/hostess must disclose the purpose for which the Sacred Heart Banquet Center will be used. Failure to disclose thepurpose of the said facility will result in forfeiture of any security deposit paid therefore and result in the cancellation of said rentalagreement.Sacred Heart or Thomas’s Catering may refuse to rent the Banquet Center or cancel a rentalagreement under any of the following circumstances:A) If it is determined that the proposed activity or use of the facility will unreasonably interfere with or detract from the local andstate laws.B) If it is determined that the proposed activity or use of the facility will unreasonably interfere with or detract from promotion ofthe public health, safety and welfare of the Sacred Hearts property.C) If it is determined by Sacred Heart or Thomas’s Catering in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, that the use may result in anextraordinary burden or expense to the Sacred Heart or Thomas’s Catering.D) If it is determined that false information is provided in the written agreement.E) If the rental agreement herein would conflict with any other existing <strong>Rental</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong> regarding the usage of Sacred Heart.F) The Sacred Heart and Thomas’s Catering reserve the right of immediate termination of this agreement upon violation by thehost/hostess of the rental policies.Additional ServicesValet Parking Available At Additional CostAttended Coat Check Available for $1.25 Per Guest based on your guest count and guarantee.Additional Hall Time Available in increments of 300.00 per hour not to exceed 2:00 am.Contract Holder:_______________________________________________________Signature:____________________________________________________29125 WEST SIX MILE ROADLIVONIA MI 48152MAIN (734) 261-8560FAX: (734) 261-7570Date_____/_____/_____Date of Event:_____/_____/_____All Arrangements And Guest Counts Due No Later Than
