Bariatric SurgeryThe goal at our Bariatric Centers is to improve thehealth and lives of those in our communities. Withmore than 60 million adults considered obese, theCenters offer specialized weight-loss treatmentoptions to those who need help with their obesity.The services offered include behavioral, nutritional,and exercise intervention, as well as surgical optionsthat consist of gastric banding, gastric bypass andgastric sleeve. After a complete medical evaluation,a customized program is developed for each patient.Several of our hospitals offer bariatric services, threeof which are designated bariatric Surgery Centers ofExcellence by the American Society of Metabolic andBariatric Surgery with Ocala Regional Medical Centerbeing named #1 in the state of Florida for overallBariatric Services by HealthGrades.Heart & Vascular NetworkOur cardiovascular network ensures that lifesavingtechnology and the latest minimally invasivetechniques are available in our communities. BothCapital Regional Medical Center and ColiseumHealth System are accredited Chest Pain Centers andmany of our facilities are now beating the nationalSTEMI benchmark of 90 minutes or less, dramaticallyimproving the lives of our patients experiencinga heart attack. Only 40 percent of hospitals in thecountry have been able to consistently performprimary percutaneous coronary intervention in lessthan 90 minutes.The latest surgical techniques for minimallyinvasive mitral valve and atrial fibrillation repairprovide a safer alternative for patients suffering fromthese conditions, improving their quality of life andreducing their risk for other serious complications.Our Cardiac Catheterization and EP Labs offerstate-of-the-art technology and treatments toinvasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.Additionally, many of our hospitals have openedspecialized chest pain units where patients can berapidly assessed and diagnosed without having tobe admitted to the facility.Imaging ServicesThe HCA North Florida network provides the mostcomprehensive array of outpatient imaging servicesin North Florida and South Georgia.
