Rudy Getteman was born on 25 th July 1960 in the city of Ninove(Belgium). He is married to Els Souffriau and has a son of 30years named Bjorn who is a singer and guitarist.By profession, Rudy is a sport nutritionist and sport consultantrelated to bodybuilding and physique sports.Rudy is the President of WBPF Belgium and his wife Els is theSecretary-General of the Belgium Bodybuilding and PhysiqueSports Federation and she is his greatest supporter of alltime. He and his wife are very happy to be part of the family ofWBPF and Rudy feels that he made the right decision in crossingover from the IFBB to WBPF. “We are treated equal and withgreat respect by members of the WBPF and they are all amazingpeople.”

He was involved in Bodybuilding since 1977 atthe age of 17 years, and from his first work-outat the gym at a place close to his home town,he was passionately involved inbodybuilding. To Rudy the most beautiful andhealthy sport is bodybuilding which headores. He use to flip bodybuilding magazinesand upon seeing the photo of ArnoldSchwarzenegger the greatest bodybuilder ofall time, he was instantly motivated tobodybuilding.From then on his journey in bodybuildingbegan and he participated in the NationalCompetitions and won 2 silver medals and abronze, and that was his best performancewhich he never regrets because it was greatfun to be on stage with the top bodybuildersfrom Belgium.President Rudy of WBPF Belgium together with Secretary-GeneralEls Souffriau congratulating the overall winner of the Walter OpenDutch Championships - Flore Pascal of Belgium.

Who is the greatest bodybuilder you adore? “I love aesthetic bodybuilders, but my biggestidol is Flex Wheeler. He is an example how it should be in bodybuilding, small waist, wideshoulders and good legs, everything in proportion. The man who comes close to thisphysique is our WBPF champion Peter Molnar from Hungary.”His hobby is bodybuilding. He spends most of his time in the gym or chit-chatting withbodybuilders but he is also fond of travelling to see the world.His closest friend in Bodybuildingis Walter Branden of Holland andhe also has another very goodfriend who is fully committed tothe Belgian Federation, PatrickVan Lierde . What is the future of Bodybuilding inBelgium? “I think we have a greatfuture in Belgium. Within these twoyears we are the largest federation inour country, and we have our rivalgroups racing behind us. Manybodybuilders are very proud torepresent WBPF Belgium and there ismany more coming to us.
