National and international cooperation agreementsBilateral cooperation of the TUZVO is the base for developed cooperation reachedin all areas of foreign affairs. In <strong>2007</strong>, 5 new agreements for international cooperationwere signed that means their total number reached 29 and also 5 new nationalagreements were concluded, which makes the total of 13 national agreements.Activities within the contract agreements were run by mutual attendance at social,scientific events, research activities and projects as well as direct cooperation atopponent activities and final examinations. Most of European contract universitieswere also part of bilateral ERASMUS agreements.Students and teachers mobilityMajority of students and academic staff mobility activities is realised through Erasmus,Leonardo and CEEPUS programmes. Other opportunities represent individualmobility due to direct cooperation with foreign partners and various educationalprogrammes on the basis of so called summer schools.and in <strong>2007</strong>/2008 there are studying altogether 102 foreign students. An importantinternational educational activity is organising summer schools. In <strong>2007</strong> the TUZVO— namely LF organised two international summer schools: “Spatial modelling andinformation system in forestry and e-learning aspects” and “Global change andchallenges for genetic and ecological research of forest ecosystems“.Foreign business trips and acceptance of foreignguestsForeign business trips of the TUZVO staff focused mainly on participation at scientificconferences, congresses and symposiums (62 % of the delegated staff), lowernumber of the TUZVO staff participated in short-term and research stays (35 % ofthe delegated staff). Conference participation was covered from grants or from businessactivities and only in special cases from the university budget.Graph 4 Faculty percentages of delegated staff in <strong>2007</strong>7Erasmus mobilityIn academic year 2006/<strong>2007</strong>, 17 students visited 6 countries as part of Erasmusprogramme. In 2004/2005, 7 students and in 2005/2006 19 students participatedin this programme. From the total allocated sum of EUR 14, 372, in <strong>2007</strong> was spentEUR 14, 080. As for the teachers, 11 teachers participated in mobility, the biggestnumber (4) from the Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology.
