OPPC WEEKEND SCHOOLA YEAR IN REVIEWPrincipal’s Notes: Alhamdulilah another year of the OPPC Weekend School has passed andwe are extremely happy with all the children who participated in the program. We are alsothankful for the hard work and countless hours the teachers, staff, volunteers and mothers’club put in. There is a saying, “A good helper is like a candle – it consumes itself to lightthe way for others.” Alhamdulilah we are blessed to have somany “candles”. May Allah give them the highest reward!I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all the parentswho put their trust in the program; it is through theirconstant support these programs exist. Also, as always, wewould like to reiterate the importance of Parent’s participationin their children’s activities. There is a direct correlationof the children’s success and the parent’s interaction withthem outside the classroom. The school is meant to serve tosupport and guide parent’s to teach their own children. It isimperative that we are engaged in our children’s educationand do not simply “drop off” our children in hopes everythingwill be taken care of.In any event, we understand the limitations of any weekendprogram with limited time and frequency with the children,for this reason, we structure the program as an entry leveleducational environment to teach the children the fundamentalsat an introductory level while instilling in them theIslamic Tarbiyah we all strive for. Our hopes are that by exposingthe children to this program it would foster interestto take their Islamic education to new heights by partakingin other weekly programs at the Prayer Center of OrlandPark. InshaAllah, these programs would serve as complimentarystudy to the secular knowledge the children receiveat Public schools.In short, it was a wonderful school year and we are pleasedwith all the students and we pray that Allah guides them allwith his infinite blessings and we pray that your children(and yourselves) continue on the path of knowledge; especiallywith the Quran Academy’s completion just around thecorner and several programs being provided during thesesummer months.Summary: At 10:00 am school would begin. At 1:00 pm,Dhuhr came, we prayed, and by 3:00pm the kids went offto their families. But, what happens in between that? Yes,Quran Karim, Islamic Studies, Arabic Studies and NouranyaMethod were taught, but is there more?With student waiting for the weekend to come so they canreturn to Saturday School and learn with their friends. Bondsare formed and friendships are made. Weekend school is notjust about the education you get out of it, it’s about thefriendships that are formed and kept throughout their lives,InshaAllah. It’s about what each child can take away fromhis or her experience. It’s about the teacher’s who spendhours preparing because she knows that the parents puttheir trust in her. It’s about instilling Islamic values into ourchildren in a way where they will WANT to learn, not HAVEto. ٌََّThe Prayer Center of Orland Park Monthly Newsletter 10أوال : الفراغ الديني عند كثري من هذا الشباب .فال شك على اإلطالق أن التدين وااللتزام بمنهج اهلل جل وعال هو عنصر األمان والسعادة يف الدنيا واآلخرة ، قال تعاىل : فَمَنِ‏ اتَّبَعَ‏ هُدَايَ‏فَال يَضِلُّ‏ وَال يَشْقَى وَمَنْ‏ أَعرَضَ‏ عَنْ‏ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ‏ لَهُ‏ مَعِيشَةً‏ ضَنْكاً‏ وَنَحْشُرُهُ‏ يوْمَ‏ الْقِيَامَةِ‏ أَعْمَى .وللجميع أن يقارن مقارنةٌ‏ سريعة بني هذا الشباب الطاهر الطائع ، الذي تربى يف املساجد ، وبني هذا الشباب التائه الضائع الذي أدمن املخدرات إنالفرق كبري ، فالبد أن نعلم أن املسجد هو الحضن الرتبوي الطاهر الذي يعلم أبناءنا الفضيلة بعد أن انتشرت الرذيلة ، فال تخافوا املساجد ، وادفعواالشباب إىل املساجد ، ليجلس بني يدي العلماء والدعاة ليرتبى على أخالق اإلسالم ، فهي وحدها التي تحول بينه وبني الدمار ، أما إن ضل طريقاملسجد ولم يتذوق معنى الطاعة سلك الطريق اآلخر حتما الذي ال ينتهي إال بمثل هذه النهايات المأسوية املروعة وال حول وال قوة إال باهلل .ُ راعِيةُ رِجَ أْْ َ ُ اب وَاأل ‏َزُ وَاأل ‏َنُ رثانيا : التفكك األسرى .الذي غالبا ما تنعكس نتائجه على األبناء الذين يفقدون أنفسهم بفقدهم آلبائهم أو أمهاتهم ، فعن ابن عمرَ‏ رضي اهللَُّ‏ عنهما عن النبي صَلّى‏ْجِ‏ ها وول ‏ِهِ‏ ، فَكُ‏ ‏ُّك ْ ‏ُم راعٍ‏‏َو‏ْتِ‏ ز‏َة ٌ ىلع بي‏ْأ‏ْتِهِ‏ ، واملر‏َي‏ْلِ‏ ب‏َه‏َّج ُ ‏ُل راعٍ‏ ىلع‏َاعٍ‏ ، والر‏َمِري‏َّتِهِ‏ ، واأل‏ُم‏ُماهللُ‏ عَلَيْهِ‏ وسَلَّم قال : « كُ‏ ‏ُّك‏َّتِهِ‏ » متفقٌ‏ عليه .، وكُ‏ ‏ُّك ْ ‏ُم ٌ مسئول ْ عن رعِي‏َعَلَّك ْ ‏ُم تُفلِحُون )َّ الشي َ ‏ْطانِ‏ فَاج ُ ‏ْتَنِبُوه ل‏َلِ‏‏َم‏ْس مِنْ‏ ع‏ْالم‏ْص‏ْسِ‏‏َي‏ْمْ ‏ْرُ‏ وَال‏َا ال ‏َم‏َّم‏َا ال ‏ِينَ‏ آمَنُوا إِن‏ُّهوأخرياً‏ فاهلل سبحانه وتعاىل يقول : ( ياأَيويقول النبى صلى اهلل عليه وسلم:‏ )) لك مسكر حرام (( .ُ ْ ٌ مسئول ْ عن رعِيْ راعٍ‏ ، وك ‏ُّكنسأل اهلل سبحانه وتعاىل أن يباعد بيننا وبني املحرمات ، وأن يجعلنا من الذين يستمعون القول فيتبعون أحسنه إنه على كل شىء قدير .

إن الحمد هلل نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونعوذ باهلل من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا من يهده اهلل فال مضل له ومن يضلله فال هادىله وأشهد أن ال إله إال اهلل وحده ال شريك له وأشهد أن محمدا عبد اهلل ورسوله .أحبتي في اهلل :إننا اليوم على موعد مع موضوع خطري ، ومرض مدمر من أمراض املجتمع ، وكيف ال يكون كذلك ؟ .. وهو عدو شرس يقتل الروح قبل أن يقتلالبدن ويفتك بالعقل قبل أن يفتك بالجسد .. ويسلب الدين قبل أن يسلب الدنيا ، واسمحوا لي أن أستهل الحديث عن هذا املوضوع الخطريبهاتني الحادثتني املروعتني .أما الحادثة األوىل التي يكاد أن يقف أمامها اللسان عاجزاً‏ مشلوالً‏ من الخجل والحياء :فهي قصة شاب يف التاسعة والعشرين من عمره انهال على أمه طعنا بالسكني حتى مزق جسدها بخمس وعشرين طعنة ، واهلل إن الحلق ليجف .. ،وإن القلب لريتعد .. ، وإن الكلمات لتعجز أمام هذه املأساة املروعة .. ابن يقتل أمه .. ما السبب ؟ إنها املخدرات !!أما الحادثة الثانية فهي أبشع حادث اغتصاب يصدم اآلذان والقلوب :فهذه أرملة عجوز يف الستني من عمرها مات زوجها وترك لها األبناء وأقامت على تربيتهم خري قيام حتى احتلوا جميعاً‏ أماكن مرموقة ، وفى ليلة خرجتاألم املسكينة يف التاسعة مساءً‏ لتزور أبناءها ، وفجأة انشقت األرض أمامها عن ذئب بشرى وقح ، لعبت املخدرات برأسه فأعمت عقله وقلبهوبصره ، فرأى املرأة العجوز شابة فاتنة يف العشرين من عمرها !! وانطلق ذليال لنداء الجنس الذي يصرخ يف أعماقه ، فلم يجد أمامه إال هذه األرملةاملسكينة التي راحت تصرخ بأعلى صوتها وتستغيث وتُذَ‏ كِّره بأنها أكرب من أمه ، ولكن دون جدوى ففعل بها الفاحشة رغماً‏ عنها وسرق ما معها منمال ثم تركها وانصرف ‏.جريمة قتل .. و جريمة زنا .. وجريمة سرقة .. والسبب املخدرات ‏!ألم أقل لكم إنه عدو شرس يَسلب الدين قبل أنيسلب الدنيا .. إنه خطر يهددنا جميعاً‏ أيها املسلمون .أحبتي في اهلل :إن الحل لهذه املشكلة الكبرية تتمثل يف البحث الصادق عن األسباب الحقيقية التي أدت إىل انتشار هذا الوباء السريع ، فمن املستحيل أننحدد الدواء قبل أن نشخص الداء ، وأخطر هذه األسباب التى تؤدى إىل انتشار هذا الداء تتلخص فى نقطتني هامتني:‏J U N E 2 0 1 1 | R A J A B 1 4 3 211

Stay safe this season by following these tips:• Avoid heat stress by minimizing exposure and activities outside during peak hours(usually 10am to 3 pm).• Wearing hats, lightweight and light-colored clothing, and using sunscreen (SPFof 15 or higher) are all ways to limit the intensity of exposure to the sun’s heat.• Children should be taught to never talk to or go with strangers for any reason.• Wear a helmet when riding a bike or skating.• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
