Mike was the chairman ofSEFA when he tragically passed away at Detroit InternationalAirport on his way to visit a loyal customer.Mike was one of the original attendees at SEFA’s meetings20 years ago. Mike served as the Chairman ofSEFA’s Work Surfaces Committee, the MembershipCommittee and eventually became SEFA Chairman.The Mike Kloosterman Foundation is a not-for-profitfoundation, who’s mission is to promote safe laboratorydesign practices by awarding scholarships to studentswho wish to focus on the lab design profession.Many of the Life Time Achievement Award Recipientswere not only customers or business associates of Mike,but also good friends. These Honoree’s founded SEFA20 years ago. It was their vision (plus a penchant forfun times!) that started this organization.
