The three LLMs on offer in Griffith College allow students to focus on an aspect of law that is of particular interest to them;International Law, Human Rights and Commercial Law. However, opportunities for specialisation go beyond just selecting one of theseoptions, as all three are sub-divided, to afford students an even greater range of choices. This is particularly true of the LLM General: a student could take a human rights specialisation, or a commercial specialisation (to taketwo random examples) within this programme.LLM in InternationalCommercial Law7 subjects and dissertationMandatory choice of 4 Commercial Lawsubjects and 3 electivesMANDATORYPublic International LawInternational Trade LawIntroduction to International LegalSystemsResearch MethodsLLM in International LawLLM in InternationalHuman Rights LAw7 subjects and dissertationMandatory choice of 4 Human RightsLaw subjects and 3 electivesMANDATORYPublic International LawIntroduction to International LegalSystemsResearch MethodsInternational Human Rights LawLLM in InternationalLAw (general)7 subjects and dissertation3 Mandatory modules and 4 othermodulesMANDATORYPublic International LawIntroduction to International LegalSystemsResearch MethodsElectivesInternational Commercial ArbitrationInternational Tax LawInternational Financial Services LawEU Competition and Internal MarketsInternational Intellectual Property LawCorporate GovernanceElectivesComparitive Freedom of ExpressionSocial and Economic RightsInternational Asylum andRefugee LawInternational Criminal LawGender, Sexuality and Human RightsElectivesInternational Commercial ArbitrationInternational Tax LawInternational Financial Services LawEU Competition and Internal MarketsInternational Intellectual Property LawCorporate GovernanceComparative Freedom of ExpressionSocial and Economic RightsInternational Asylum and Refugee LawInternational Criminal LawGender, Sexuality and Human Rights• Candidates with relevant prior experiential learning may also apply and be considered for admission, subject to interview and submission ofsatisfactory evidential backup.9
