Merchandise Quality Standards—Apparel Finished MeasurementsAbout this documentWho is it for?What is itabout?IntroductionWhat do I needto measure?This document is for both internal and external customers,including buyers, suppliers, agents and quality control staff.This manual provides all internal and external customers with auniform and consistent document for measurement pointrequirements. It allows them to effectively and confidentlycommunicate measurement point requirements.The measurement standards for finished apparel were developedby the Coles Group Limited Quality Team to provide all internaland external customers with a uniform and consistent documentfor measurement point requirements.It forms part of the Merchandise Quality Standards—Apparel.This document allows buyers, suppliers, agents and qualitycontrol staff, to effectively and confidently communicatemeasurement point requirements.It applies to the following Coles Group Limted businesses:• Kmart• Coles• Bi-Lo• Bi-Lo Megafresh• Pick ’n’ Pay Hypermart.There are several apparel types that you can measure:• tops and jackets• pants and shorts• skirts• dresses• overalls• children’s night clothing• swimwear• intimate apparel• miscellaneous.16 August 2002 Coles Group Limited ii

Refer to the ‘Forms’ section of this manual for moreinformation.A sketch or photograph of the actual apparel that is to be soldto the Coles Group Limited business is to be attached to theform.If for sample submission, the completed form must be attachedto a M21—Sample Submission form.
