Port of Seattle Moorage Tariff No. 6 – Effective 05/01/09ITEM 2310RULES AND REGULATIONS(A) RECREATIONAL VESSEL REGISTRATION AND PROCEDURES(1) RegistrationAll recreational vessels shall be registered by the owner, charterer, or operatorimmediately upon arrival at the Harbormaster Office. Vessels shall be subjectto the moorage charges named in Item 2220(A), to be paid upon arrival of thevessel to the Marina.Vessels leaving and returning during their registered visit do so at their ownrisk and are not guaranteed the same space, or any space, upon their return.(2) Restricted UseMoorage for commercial vessels, other than charter and excursion vessels, isnot permitted at Bell Harbor Marina during Peak Season, except at Dock Tand Charter Dock, without specific approval of Bell Harbor MarinaManagement. See Items 2300(A) and (B). Bell Harbor Marina will not beused for the sale or brokerage of boats or other business purposes withoutspecific approval of Bell Harbor Marina Management. “For Sale” signs orother advertisement signs or banners are not permitted without the writtenconsent of Bell Harbor Marina management.(3) Guest Moorage Time LimitVessels may moor at Bell Harbor Marina for a maximum of 14 days per visitduring Peak Season. Vessels must leave for at least 24 hours beforebeginning another visit.(4) Unregistered BoatsA vessel which remains at the Marina and is unregistered for a period longerthan 1 hour is subject to impound and/or removal pending settlement of allcharges. See Item 1300(E) and (F).(5) Reservations(a)IndividualIndividual reservations shall be taken for boaters who wish to reserve aslip for an overnight stay or longer. Beginning the 2 nd Monday of eachyear, reservations will be taken through the end of the following year.Beginning July 1st of each year, reservations will be taken for thefollowing Off-Peak Season. See Items 2210(C)(1) and 2220(A).Bell Harbor Marina Management reserves the right to change berthassignments as needed to allow for the best use of the facility andcomfort of the customers. A reservation does not necessarily guarantee24 of 44
Port of Seattle Moorage Tariff No. 6 – Effective 05/01/09in and out privileges and all vessels, reserved or not, are subject torafting during peak occupancy levels.(b)GroupGroup reservations shall be taken for organized groups of 8 or morevessels. Exceptions may be made during the Off-Peak Season subjectto availability and occupancy. Group reservations must be made atleast 14 days in advance.Note: All reservations are non-refundable.(B) CHARTER VESSEL REGISTRATION AND PROCEDURES(1) RegistrationAll charter vessels owners or operators shall pre-register at the Marina Officeprior to arrival. Reservations shall be taken for all charter vessels and shall besubject to the moorage charges named in Item 2220(A). Charter vessels shallmoor in assigned areas only.(2) Declaration of SecurityIn compliance with 33CFR105 (Code of Federal Regulations), all passengervessels certificated to carry 150 passengers or more must have a Declarationof Security registered with the marina/terminal office of calling prior to arrival.Under no circumstances will such vessels be allowed to enter themarina/terminal without a valid Declaration of Security prior to arrival.(3) Terms and ConditionsCharter vessels must sign a Charter Vessel Operator Agreement prior toauthorization for moorage at Bell Harbor Marina. Failure to comply with theterms and conditions of the Charter Vessel Operator Agreement will result intermination of moorage privileges.(4) Time LimitThe maximum time allowed to load or unload at the charter float is one (1)hour. Based on availability, a vessel which remains after the established timelimit will be assessed two (2) times the moorage charge for the remainder ofits stay.(C) TRIBAL FISHING VESSEL REGISTRATION AND PROCEDURES(1) ConditionsAccording to a 1994 agreement signed by the Muckleshoot and SuquamishTribes and the Port of Seattle, Muckleshoot and Suquamish tribal fishingvessels shall be provided moorage space at Bell Harbor Marina during thefishing season only, as defined by the annual fishing regulations of each tribe.25 of 44
