Port of Seattle Moorage Tariff No. 6 – Effective 05/01/09(2) RegistrationTribal vessels shall register and show proof of tribal affiliation upon arrival atBell Harbor Marina.(3) MoorageActive tribal fishing vessels shall be exempt from moorage fees during thetribal fishing season only. Moorage for tribal fishing vessels is limited todesignated areas of Dock T unless authorized by Bell Harbor MarinaManagement. Inactive tribal fishing vessels may be subject to mooragecharges.End of Section, return to General IndexSECTION THREE, PART 1 – DEFINITIONSApplying at Fishermen’s Terminal and Maritime Industrial Center OnlyITEM 3100DEFINITIONS(A) ACTIVE FISHING VESSELA vessel which is registered or documented for “Fishery” and is engaged in a bonafide commercial fishing operation under one (1) or more valid licenses, which mayinclude, but are not limited to, a current season fishing license, current season fishtickets, landing permits, or other proof to establish fishing activity. Vessel must berigged for licensed fishery (or fisheries).(B) CHARTER VESSELSCharter vessels are defined as commercial vessels used or designed for thetransport of passengers, whether for profit or non-profit.(C) COMMERCIAL VESSELAny vessel that is used for purposes other than enjoyment, sport, leisure orpleasure, including but not limited to fishing vessels that do not meet Fishermen’sTerminal criteria for active fishing vessels, loading or unloading of freight, charteringof boat from which fish is taken for personal use, any use involving research ordevelopment of underwater resources, any use that has the primary purpose ofgenerating marine dependent retail or other profit for the owner or operator of thevessel. Subject to Note.Note:At Fishermen’s Terminal only, bare boat charters, timeshares, and othercommercially owned vessels used for the operator’s recreational purposeare defined as non-commercial vessels (See Item 3100(B))26 of 44
Port of Seattle Moorage Tariff No. 6 – Effective 05/01/09(D) NON-COMMERCIAL VESSELAny vessel that is used solely for the purpose of enjoyment, sport, leisure orpleasure. Any vessel that is otherwise defined as a commercial vessel can beconsidered a non-commercial vessel when used by the owner or operator during aperiod of time where the use is solely for the owner or operator’s personalenjoyment, sport, leisure or pleasure and not combined with any commercial use asdefined above.(E) TRANSIENT MOORAGEShort-term berthage, for use of moorage facilities whereby the vessel is grantedauthority to moor, but does not enter into a Monthly Moorage Agreement.(F) VIOLATION VESSELSAny vessel entering and remaining at Fishermen’s Terminal without authorization; orremaining at Fishermen’s Terminal after moorage has been terminated.End of Section, return to General IndexSECTION THREE, PART 2 – DEPOSITS, FEE AND RATESApplying at Fishermen’s Terminal and Maritime Industrial Center OnlyITEM 3200DEPOSITSThere are no deposits applying at the Maritime Industrial Center.ITEM 3210FEES(A) BOAT PUMPING FEE (WITH OPERATOR)$50.00 per hour with a minimum fee of one (1) hour.(B) BOAT PUMP RENTAL FEE (ELECTRIC - WITHOUT OPERATOR)$19.86 per hour with a minimum fee of one (1) hour. Maximum rental period is two(2) hours.(C) EQUIPMENT RETRIEVAL FEEThere is a charge of $39.73 per hour, with a one-half (½) hour minimum, for theretrieval of Port of Seattle equipment not returned to the Fishermen’s Terminal orMaritime Industrial Center offices.27 of 44
