17741 Roy Street Retrofit Project – Lansing, Ill.The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) has been along-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity and itsmission to provide quality homes to those in need.When the Chicago South Suburbs chapter of Habitathad a unique retrofit project in Lansing, Ill, theyturned to Dow. The home on Roy Street wasforeclosed and vacant for three years, and hadsignificant structural damage from the inside out, andwas ridden with mold and asbestos. The home needed almost a complete gut renovation andmultiple products from Dow Building Solutions were used to not only make the home livableagain, but also make it energy efficient to ensure low energy bills for the future homeowners.After the renovation was completed, the home received ENERGY STAR® certification and iscurrently the only rehab residence in Lansing to meet these standards.
