Purpose Statement:JOB DESCRIPTIONLaramie County School District #1The job of Warehouse Delivery Driver - Technician is done for the purpose/s of maintaining required inventory levels;ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining anorganized warehouse layout; processes purchase orders; loads and unloads freight; maintains records; and manages allreturns.This job reports to Materials ManagerWAREHOUSE DELIVERY DRIVER - TECHNICIANEssential Functions• Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.WarehDelDrTech• Drives vehicles in the absence of the delivery drivers (e.g. delivery truck, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of transportingorders and materials in warehouse and to schools.• Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. shipping accounts, purchase orders, fixed assetrecords, bar-coding, inventory, returns, monthly warehouse report, surplus property, electronic delivery logs, bookdepository, incoming freight shipments, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials andreliable resource information.• Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavyitems safely and effectively.• Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.• Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.• Provides quality customer service for the purpose of maintaining an efficient and effective work environment.• Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.• Researches discrepancies on orders and/or invoices (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries, etc.) for the purposeof correcting errors and/or returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors.• Responds to inquiries of staff and vendors for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the invoices,billing, status of deliveries, etc.Other Functions• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the workunit.Job Requirements: Minimum QualificationsSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesSKILLS are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meetchanging job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering tosafety practices; operating equipment used in warehouse operations; operating standard office equipment includingpertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios;understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand complex, multi-step writtenand oral instructions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the Organization’sservices.Working EnvironmentThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significantlifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/orcrawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
