P R OVIDING SOLUTIONS, NOT JUST EQUIPMENTMDB SERIES DEHUMIDIFYINGDRYERS WITH DRYPRO CONTROLThe AEC MDB Series desiccant dryers have beendesigned around improved serviceability andincreased energy efficiency to provide a Globalproduct solution. Built-in Ethernet and Fieldbuscapability allows remote service functions notpreviously available with other control platforms. With material processing rates between50-450 lbs/hr. (22-205 kgs./hr.) the dual blower, desiccant bed system with electric bed switchingvalve technology provides an easy to operateplatform that can expand and control up to threedrying hoppers with modular components on onecompact platform. An optional desiccant wheelsystem with pre-cooler (MDW Series) can beadded as a customer preference. The MDB Series can be used as a stand-aloneunit, or can be configured as part of a cartsystem with or without conveying options toservice several process machines. The conveyingcart packages can be configured in closed loop, open loop, or purge valve configurations.M D B D E H U M I D I F Y I N GD R Y E R Sw w w. a e c i n t e r n e t . c o m

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR PROCESSWITH DRYPRODRYPRO ENERGY CONTROL SYSTEMThis control platform utilizes a 5.7” glass color touch-screen to select a pull-downmenu with pre-loaded drying parameters. Energy optimizing features includeremote, insulated, dual pass process heaters with temperature setback tominimize heat loss and improve system efficiency. The DryPro control system also offers portability with the option of mountingdirectly to the drying hopper.Optional remote touch screen/monitor available for individual drying hoppers.WHY CHOOSE DRYPRO?• High resolution color touch-screen• Control by graphic touch - not by code• Color system status screen of major drying process systemoperation• Simple icon-driven flow schematics change color and flashas conditions change• Material selection recipe book of popular materialspre-loaded into the control• Imperial/metric unit settings displays temperature in∘ F or ∘ C• Capacity to save over 200 job/process settings• Recipe storage to customize process parameters:• Recipe number/material number• Material name• Manufacturer’s name• Regrind percent• Material density• Residence time• Drying temperature - input• Duplicate configure recipe function for each process andsetup of new process. Saves/copies entries.• Active visual indication of process parameters and processsettings:• Process• Temperature setback• Dew point• Process name - I.D.• Hopper size• Estimated throughput based on input of process parameters:• Material type• Bulk density• % regrind• Drying hopper size• Preventative maintenance hour meter for criticalcomponents/processes• System status• Regeneration on time with bed break over-ride to saveenergy• Bed switching on time or time plus dew point• Temperature graphing, profile/trending• Dryer temperature/input material selection with dryertemperature• Residence time• Throughput calculator• Setback temperature• Regrind percentage• DensityADDITIONAL FEATURES• PLC based control platform• 5.7” full color touchscreen display• Multiple communications options through HMI includingall of the popular Ethernet and fieldbus protocols• Individual hopper controls that communicate with main PLC• Support for up to 3 hoppers on MDB/MDW product line• Desiccant bed switching on either dewpoint or time -user choice• Material saver feature to control process heater shouldprocess become idle or slow down• Desiccant bed break temperature monitor to prevent desiccantfrom being heat damaged• 7-day timer for automatic startup• Dirty filter indicator• Expanded system diagnostics• Solid-state relays for process heaterNote: Remote heaters may require the purchase of additionalcomponent hardwareM D B D E H U M I D I F Y I N GD R Y E R Sw w w. a e c i n t e r n e t . c o m

TAKE YOUR PROCESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITHDRYPRO CONTROL FULL COLOR GRAPHIC DISPLAYSMain ScreenDryer StatusScreenThe main menu screen allows for ease ofmoving through the various user set up,status, and service screen. The dryer status screen provides all of thenecessary operating information of thedryer itself: Air temperature, bloweroperation, and bed activation.RegenerationProcess StatusHopper StatusScreenThis screen allows for isolated viewing ofthe regeneration process including time, temperature, and bed activations. When a drying hopper is connected to thedryer, this screen allows for isolated viewingof the hopper including dewpoint, airinlet and outlet temperatures as well as thematerial information that the user hasselected.Material Set-upScreenMaterial SelectionScreenWhen a drying hopper is connected to thedryer, this screen allows for the user toeasily setup the type of material that isbeing processed including material nameand if any regrind is present. The programselects the residence time and dryingtemperature but the user has the ability toover-ride settings for their specificapplications.Once the material has been setup, the usercan easily scroll through their list to quicklyset up a hopper. Over 200 materialrecipes can be stored. The dryer menu ispre-loaded with the most popular materialselection/settings.M D B D E H U M I D I F Y I N GD R Y E R Sw w w. a e c i n t e r n e t . c o m
