Wages/2011-12 Date: 15.02.2012CIRCULARSub: Enhancement of Spinning Wages from Rs.2/- toRs.3/- per hank w.e.f.01.04.2012:- RegardingRef : Order No: CCC/Cost Chart/review/2009-10 dated23.09.2009.Reference is invited to the Order as mentioned above,wherein the enhancement in wages of spinners @ Rs.2/- perhank w.e.f. 02.10.2009 was communicated for compliance of allconcerned.2. The Commission further deliberated the issue in its 597 thmeeting held on 31.01.2012. It is observed that spinners areearning very meager amount i.e around Rs.20/- to Rs.30/- perday only and strongly advocated for evolving schemes for theKhadi spinners, which could at least ensure minimum wage tothem. It is further urged to take immediate decision forenhancing wages of spinners by Re.1/- per hank and examineother alternatives for enhancement of wages of artisans.3. The Commission after due deliberation decided to enhancewage component of spinners from minimum of Rs.2/- per hankto minimum of Rs.3/- per hank w.e.f. 01.04.2012, withdirections that Cost Chart should be accordingly revised w.e.f.01.04.2012 and it should be ensured that due to this decisionwage component only is enhanced.

4. The State/Divisional Directors shall personally ensure thecompliance of the above decision of the Commission. Further,the revised Cost Chart based on the decision of the Commissionand the guidelines communicated vide letter No:DKC/Costing/2007-08 dated 04.05.2007 shall be prepared andsent to Director (CCC) immediately, so as to facilitate them toobtain necessary approval from the authorities.ToAll State/ Divisional Directors, KVIC.Copy to:Sd/-CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER1.
