No material will beaccepted after the deadline date.30 Unit Option for LVN’s & LPN’sAn applicant who is licensed in California as a vocationalnurse is eligible to apply for licensure as a registered nurseafter completing 30 units (prerequisite and nursingcourses).THE LICENSE FOR A 30-UNIT OPTION RN ISVALID ONLY IN CALIFORNIA.The student who chooses this option andcompletes the required courses is eligible for theNCLEX-RN licensure exam.The student is NOT a graduate of the NursingProgram. In addition, Transferapplicants must:Write a letter to the Nursing AdmissionsCommittee Department requesting admission.Once eligible the Nursing Admissions Committeewill schedule an interview to determineplacement in the program.Bring to the interview unofficial transcripts ofcompleted nursing courses from other colleges oruniversities attended, and related syllabi.Applicants can only be accepted within two yearsof their last nursing course.Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)ApplicantsNurses trained in other countries may take individualcourses as required by the BRN.International nurse applicants must:Submit an application letter, along with a copy ofthe written evaluation notice from the Board ofRegistered Nursing.
