Issue 40 – April 2011PSAU3162 - has created the Final Seniority Factors (or Actual National Average SR amounts)<strong>for</strong> England and Wales, as follows:• Final Seniority Factor (FSF) <strong>for</strong> England = £90,375• Final Seniority Factor (FSF) <strong>for</strong> Wales = £78,938These are in both instances lower than the Welsh and English Interim Seniority Figure of£95,355 so English and Welsh FSFs result in less GPs having Seniority Abatement applied tothem. Reconciliation of Seniority Payments there<strong>for</strong>e results in additional moneys being paidretrospectively to those GPs to whom abatement now no longer applies. Clawbacks arethere<strong>for</strong>e not required.Further in<strong>for</strong>mation on the 2007/8 Final Seniority Factor is obtainable from the In<strong>for</strong>mationCentre website by accessing the link:• http://www.ic.nhs.uk/tscPSAU3262 has also been issued via SIS T/10306. This has created a new SuperannuationLimit figure of £129,600 which comes into <strong>for</strong>ce automatically following March 2011 Close onEG screen. The new figure displays at the top of FF screen page 2 once the March 2011 Closehas completed.Note: this new figure has been advised to us by <strong>NHS</strong> Pensions as Provisional to be used <strong>for</strong>superannuation calculations from FY 2011/12. We are not aware if there is any intentionto issue a revised figure, later in the Financial Year.2.1.3 T/10097 – Issues CR1285 changes to application screens GD, TE andSL to record ‘Date first joined a PCT List’ on GD and TE and on the SLscreen ‘PL Add’ and ‘PL Rem’ dates to record date added to and dateremoved from Per<strong>for</strong>mer’s ListSIS T/10097 was issued to all sites on 7 February to install amendments requested in CRs1285 and 1276. This SIS has been released nationally following successful Pilot at SO –Hampshire, and GG – Gloucester.T/10097 included both CR1276 and CR1285 amendments.CR1276 originally requested the addition of two new fields ‘Date & PCO first joined’ to be addedto GD and TE screens to support PCIS reporting. Following Pilot site suggestions, this was thenamended so that there was only the addition of one field ‘Date first joined a List’ on GD and TEScreens, and the addition of the field ‘Start Date on SL’ on the SL Screen Page 1.CR1285 now extends the original amendments requested in CR1276, to include furtherrevisions to the SL Screen to provide a facility <strong>for</strong> recording Per<strong>for</strong>mer’s List Added andPer<strong>for</strong>mer’s List Removed Dates as a driver <strong>for</strong> the CLDX Download into PCIS.GD Screen Page 1 <strong>for</strong> GP Principals (Category 1)A number of fields currently displayed on the GD Screen Page 1 <strong>for</strong> GP Principals (Category 1GPs), have been rearranged to accommodate the new ‘Date first joined a List’ field, asrequested on CR1276.The amendments to the GD Screen Page 1 now provide the functionality to update the new‘Date first joined a List’ field <strong>for</strong> Category 1 GP’s, if required. Entry of this field on the GD screenis optional.The amendments outlined in CR1276 include the new ‘Date first joined a List’ field. GD Page 1screen fields were repositioned to accommodate this and are now displayed on the followinglines <strong>for</strong> GP Principals:• Date first joined a List is displayed on Line 19.• ‘C’ancel, ‘R’einstate (Regn) is displayed on Line 20.8 © Crown Copyright
