42 AMUSEMENT TODAY April 2013Western Fairs Association meeting honors 35 fairsSeen at Gibtown...RENO, Nev. — The WesternFairs Association AchievementAwards were rewardedto membership fairs duringthe 2013 WFA Conventionheld Jan. 20-23, Reno, Nev.The 331 award-winningentries from 35 fairs were ondisplay in the Award Center.The awards program wassponsored by Ray CammackShows. The Awards Centerwas sponsored by the AntelopeValley Fair.Garnering the mostawards this year was theMarin Co. Fair, San Rafael,Calif. a Class Medium fair. Itwas honored with 33 differentdivision awards.There were several fairshonored with 26 differentawards. They were the SanDiego, Del Mar, County Fair,Class Mega; the SonomaCounty Fair, Santa Rosa, Calif.,Class Large; and the AlamedaCounty Fair, Pleasanton,Calif., Class Mega, which washonored with 25 first, secondor third awards, and one honorablemention.The San Mateo (Calif.)County Fair, Class Medium,was rewarded 24 awards.The following is a list ofthe other fairs honored duringthe 2013 convention:•The OC County Fair,Costa Mesa, Calif., Div.
