It represents Ireland in a European network of centresthat promote the recognition of international awards throughout Europe. Qualification Recognition- Ireland has evolved in line with the introduction of the NFQ. It facilitates the recognition of qualificationsgained outside Ireland, by comparing the NFQ with qualification frameworks in other countries and withoverall European frameworks. Applications can also be dealt with on a individual basis –www.qualificationsrecognition.ieFollow these steps to have your qualification recognised here in Ireland1 Bring all your official academic documents with you to Ireland e.g Certificates, Award Transcripts etc2 Go to an official accredited translation agency to have the documents translated into English.Examples of official accredited agencies include embassies, universities, recognised commercialcompanies3abIf it is a general degree/qualification go to www.nqai.ie. Follow the link for qualificationsrecognition (www.qualificationsrecognition.ie) and then download the “Application Form forRecognition of a Foreign Qualification”Get certified photocopies of all the documents in English and the original language. The Gardai ora Commissioner of Oaths will certify the copies4 Once you have your documents and the completed application form you will send these to theNational <strong>Qualifications</strong> Authority.
