<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> (Inc.)Uphold and promote the values associated with thespirit of cricketNZC works with the ICC Regional Security Adviser to meet all ICC anticorruptionrequirements for match management. Players are aware ofanti-corruption regulations. During the year in review there havebeen no reports of corruption or suspected corruption made to NZC.NZC has a rigorous anti-doping policy and is working with players,the NZ Sports Drug Agency and the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> PlayersAssociation (NZCPA) to ensure that all players are aware of theircommitments under anti-doping regulations. There were no reportsof doping offences in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> cricket in <strong>2005</strong>/06.Changes made to the code of conduct several years ago to preventplayers from questioning umpires during a match have had a positiveresult, with negligible code of conduct issues during the year inreview. Comments from umpires and players indicate that the changehas resulted in more respect for umpires.NZC was also extremely active in assisting the ICC and othermembers to work through challenging processes which ultimatelyled to the successful confirmation of a revised FTP playingprogramme <strong>2006</strong>–2012 and an ICC Event Schedule 2007 to 2015, bothof which are essential foundations of NZC's business.Implement best practice in the governance andmanagement of NZC to maximise organisationeffectivenessNZC continues to review and refine all aspects of its business toensure that best practice policies and procedures are used throughoutthe organisation. During the year SPARC has played an increasing rolein this area of NZC’s business, providing strategic planning andprofessional development assistance. NZC has also actively sharedbest practice with SPARC and NZC management and staff haveworked with SPARC on a number of projects, so that NZC best practicecan be shared with other sports.NZC is proud to continue its support of the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong>Museum which promotes and preserves the traditions of the game.Be an influential and respected member of the ICC andcontribute to a shared vision for the future of the gameNZC continued to be an active member of the ICC, contributing to ICCgovernance and policy through representation on the ICC ExecutiveCommittee and ICC Management Committee.10NZC worked with <strong>Cricket</strong> Australia to produce a high quality bid forthe ICC <strong>Cricket</strong> World Cup 2011 or 2015. <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> and Australiawere successful in gaining the ICC <strong>Cricket</strong> World Cup 2015.
